Dr. Megan Arends is a pre-licensed clinical psychologist who earned her Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Adler University in Chicago, IL. Throughout her extensive training, Dr. Arends has developed a wide range of skills in individual and group therapy, as well as in neuropsychological and personality assessment. She has gained valuable experience working in outpatient settings, including academic medical centers, hospitals, and private practices. Dr. Arends is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults and has specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), child-led play therapy, and behavior therapy.
Dr. Arends takes an integrative and culturally informed approach to therapy, drawing from attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, and somatic techniques with an emphasis on insight-oriented work. Dr. Arends thoughtfully adapts her approach to fit each patient’s unique background and needs. Above all, Dr. Arends strives to create a space where patients feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout their therapeutic and assessment journey.
