Nora Gonzalez is a bicultural, Bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Nora received her Master’s in Counseling from Argosy University and her undergraduate degree from Aurora University.
Nora has been in the mental health field for over 10 years. Nora began her career assisting individuals in crisis and in a residential placement setting with teens. She has also worked in coordination with law enforcement to assist residents in crisis. She has worked with domestic violence perpetrators and has experience running groups in both English and Spanish during her time facilitating the PAIP (Partner Abuse Intervention Program).
Nora is passionate about working with children 5 years old and up, youth, their families, and adults. Nora utilizes evidence-based practices to address various issues such as trauma, anxiety, domestic violence, abuse, depression, and improving family dynamics to name a few. She utilizes a humanistic approach to meet clients where they are at while providing compassionate collaborative care. Nora currently utilizes the following approaches with individuals and families: client-centered, play therapy, humanistic, strength-based, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused.
