

Dr. Andrea Graves is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in individual and family therapy, and psychological assessments. Dr. Graves completed her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Masters of Arts (M.A.) degrees in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, in Florida. Dr. Graves was selected for the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Air Force (USAF) during her doctorate. She then commissioned as an officer in the USAF, and completed her Clinical Psychology residency at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, the nation’s leading military health facility located on Joint Base Andrews, MD, as well as the National Security Agency. These training environments provided Dr. Graves with an extensive background in Clinical Psychology, Health and Rehabilitation Psychology, and psychological and neuropsychological assessments.
Dr. Graves is a highly skilled trauma professional and is trained in both Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapies for the treatment of PTSD. Dr. Graves is very passionate about her work with individuals experiencing chronic health conditions, and those in high-risk/high-stress career fields, to include military/veterans and first responders.
Dr. Graves collaborates with her clients and tailors a specific treatment plan unique to each individual’s needs. She has a strong background working with individuals from adolescence through geriatric populations with varied psychiatric conditions, medical conditions, and those experiencing common life changes and stressors. Dr. Graves specializes in working with clients with trauma, depression, anxiety, medical and cognitive issues, eating disorders, job and school stress, and relationship concerns.
Dr. Graves utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure-based therapies, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy, based on her clients’ individual needs. Dr. Graves is also a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) and is passionate about treating individuals from a biopsychosocial perspective, with a strong focus on the mind-body connection.
Dr. Graves has extensive experience conducting a wide range of psychological evaluations across the lifespan (from early childhood disorders through elderly adult cognitive evaluations), as well as various specialty evaluations including infertility evaluations, surgical candidate evaluations (Bariatric and organ transplant candidate evaluations), disability evaluations, forensic assessments, security clearances and fitness for duty evaluations. Dr. Graves also conducts psychological evaluations for the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, and the Veterans Administration.
