Briana specializes in working with families and individuals of all ages experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal communication deficits, self-esteem issues, anger management, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral issues. She is skilled at having those difficult conversations around social identity and encourages an open dialogue with others through developing communication skills. She incorporates social justice and advocacy for human rights into my work as a therapist.
Briana believes everyone is an expert in their own life and my role is to support authenticity. She will provide a safe space for you to be who you are; this time is for you. She incorporates a range of therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and ACT, among others and specialization in art based therapy for a more relaxed feeling in session. She welcomes everyone into a space that empowers them on their journey of healing and personal growth. Briana sees her role as a therapist to provide an environment that allows clients to make therapy their own experience.
Briana completed her Bachelors in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana. While there, she was accepted into a two year social justice paraprofessional program and finished her degree with strong emphasis on diversity, empowerment, and systemic dialogue. She went on to earn her Masters in Social Work from Aurora University.
