Dr. Julie Lochbaum

Dr. Julie Lochbaum is a pre-licensed clinical psychologist who earned her Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. Throughout her extensive training, Dr. Lochbaum has developed a wide range of skills in individual and group therapy, as well as in neuropsychological assessment. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults and has gained valuable experience working in outpatient settings, including academic medical centers, hospitals, and college counseling.

Dr. Lochbaum takes an integrative and culturally responsive approach to therapy, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-based, and family-centered interventions to support children, adolescents, and their families. She tailors her approach to meet each patient’s unique developmental, emotional, behavioral, and medical needs, with particular interest in working with individuals experiencing sleep difficulties and those with medical complexities. Dr. Lochbaum also works closely with parents and caregivers, incorporating parent-led interventions to promote behavior change and support healthy family functioning.
