Director of Integrative Medicine
Dr. Jennifer Hartmann is a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist with a background in anthropology. Dr. Hartmann is additionally board-certified in Chinese Herbology and a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild. She completed her master’s degree and clinical doctorate in Traditional East Asian medicine, totaling over 5,200 hours of class and clinical training. She is licensed in Illinois and nationally board-certified through NCCAOM. Her specialties include women’s healthcare, as well as aging adults.
In private practice, she utilizes narrative medicine, acupuncture, herbs, cupping, moxibustion, clinical massage therapy, lifestyle and diet therapies (East Asian and plant-based). Jennifer enjoys collaborating on interdisciplinary teams and combining traditional East Asian medicine with evidence-based protocols. When not in practice, she serves on the board for Illinois Society of Acupuncturists, teaches a course: Foundations of Chinese Medicine and volunteers as an assistant beekeeper.
